Recently refurbished, the Viking Akun is one of the best ships sailing on Russia's waterways. It offers private verandas in every stateroom on the upper and middle decks. All the other staterooms have windows with a river view.
The ship offers guests special cultural presentations about Russian History. You will learn about the Romanovs, Russia’s royal family, and even learn a bit of the local language.
The ship was named after one of the two sons of Djilki a Viking leader. In the 9th century, the family traveled from Scandinavia to settle in the area we know today as Kiev in Ukraine.
