Of all the many destinations she has visited her favorite is Italy. Sheila says that there is so much to see and do in Italy; it’s hard to pinpoint just one thing.
As they say, when in Rome…Indulge in the pasta, creamy deserts and wine! Rome is so much more than the Vatican and the Coliseum. There is enough art, archaeological sites, Cathedrals and museums to keep you busy for years.
In Florence, Renaissance treasures like Michelangelo’s David will take your breath away! Florence is also known for its leather artisans, the intricate carving on belts and bags, sold on the streets you can’t find anyplace else!
Then there’s Venice, what a magical city! Take a romantic gondola ride through the Grand Canal, stroll the endless maze of cobble stone streets, and visit the Doge’s Palace. Don’t forget to leave time to enjoy the fresh pastry and seafood dishes that Venice is known for!
Sheila has been married to her husband Ken for 45 years. She has 2 children and 6 grandchildren! She has a large vegetable garden and does a lot of canning during the summer. When she’s not traveling abroad, you can find her at her cottage in Maine.
