The Viking Sun is the fourth ship in the Viking Ocean Cruise line. It spent its maiden season sailing the lines first world cruise, 141 days visiting five continents. The ship departed on December 15, 2017, stopping in 66 ports, ranging from Cuba and the Caribbean to Asia to the Middle East to Europe.
This small ship will take you to ports that larger ships cannot visit. Stops in port are longer than average, with frequent overnights. There are many excursions to choose from that are included in the price, you may also purchase additional excursion options.
The ship does not have a casino and nightly entertainment is at a minimum. There also are not many sea days on these cruises as visiting ports is its main focus.

The Chefs oboard serve meals from the different destinations the ship travels to. You will also find traditional Norwegian dishes too.
Who it’s best for?
The Viking Sun is not for families with children. You must be 18 years or older to travel. The ship is designed for those who like to travel and enjoy a quite elegant atmosphere. It offers a wonderful value for adults who like traveling to many different ports.
