Veendam

Holland America’s ms Veendam was completely refurbished in 2009, which brought even more amenities and comfort on board to guests. The ms Veendam provides and elegant cruising experience with a $2 million art collection onboard and featured throughout the ship. New to the ms Veendam are the Lanai staterooms that offer sliding glass doors leading to the wrap around Promenade deck, and Spa staterooms located close to the Greenhouse Spa offering special spa amenities. There are a variety of spaces on board to suit every guest like lounging by the Lido Pool, trying your luck in the Casino, or staying connected at sea in Explorations Cafe.

What is unique about this ship?

The renovations in 2009 added two new dining venues, Canaletto Restaurant offering authentic Italian cuisine and Slice pizza parlor perfect for a quick afternoon snack. New to the ms Veendam is also Mix, which has three specialty venues within it including “Champagne” for anytime celebrations, “Martinis” for cocktails, and “Spirits & Ales” for micro brews and malts. In the evenings, guests can enjoy Broadway-inspired performances in the intimate Showroom at Sea theater.
