Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria is similar in size and layout to her sister ship, Queen Elizabeth, but has her own distinct personality and feel. It was launched into service in 2007 and named after the 19th century British Queen Victoria. Her classical decor has an Edwardian elegance and warm tone executed with Cunard’s hallmark flair. Grand in terms of and decoration, Queen Victoria has a particularly engaging and intimate feeling throughout. She is comprised of seven delightful restaurants, thirteen bars, three swimming pools, the Royal Spa, kid’s facilities, a fancy ballroom, the incredible and spectacular the Royal Court Theater. January of 2015, Queen Victoria underwent a refurbishment and saw the addition of nine single cabins with refreshed carpets, mattresses and paint. Plus, eight new internet stations were added to the upper floor of the library. Victoria sails year round with itineraries throughout the entire globe.

Cunard's first female captain Inger Klein Olsen commands Queen Victoria. This ship is also the first ship in the world to offer private boxes at sea in the Royal Court Theatre.

Who is this ship best for?
Queen Victoria is best for everyone of all ages including kids but the average age of passengers who sail on this elegant vessel ranges from the late 40’s and upwards attracting an older crowd made up mostly of couples. For first time cruisers, Queen Victoria is a great choice mainly because it is not a huge ship and more of intimate feel.
